A Circular Process
Recyco is a critical link in Aperam’s commitment to the circular economy. It starts with our reusing of a furnace from a former meltshop, where we treat collected residues and extract the valuable metallic content. This content is then sent to our Châtelet and Genk steel plants, where it is used to make new products – thus closing the loop!
Our Certifications
Recyco is an ISO 14001 and 45001 certified unit. The unit is firmly committed to sustainable development, with the aim of reducing dust emissions by 70% by 2030. Focused on respecting the environment and the health of its employees and local residents, Recyco regularly conducts analysis of both ambient air (on site and in the neighborhood) and incoming materials.
