Main features
enhanced mechanical properties in annealed condition; high potential for elongation and hardening; very good resistance to intergranular corrosion; excellent weldability; high ductility; excellent strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures.
Applications
- Railroad and transportation
- Cryogenic tanks, storage vessels, piping
- High performance welded structures, including those used at sub-zero temperatures
- All applications where austenitic grade 1.4318 (Type 301LN) is used, with the added advantage of price stability due to lower nickel content
