Washing machines and tumble dryers use a number of stainless steel components. As our stabilized ferritic stainless steels are designed to avoid intergranular corrosion during welding, they are particularly well-suited for washing machines. Depending on the assembly process, stainless steel can be used for a tumble dryer’s drum wrapper and rear panel.
