Applications

Domestic Appliances

Enhancing the safety of many domestic appliances

Domestic Appliances

Alloys help improve the safety of domestic appliances by preventing them from overheating. That’s why they are the material of choice for water heaters, irons, cookers, air conditioners, ovens, toasters, boilers, coffee makers, garbage disposals, air dryers – and more.

Cookware

An ingenious solution for controlled induction cooking

Cookware

Efficient, hygienic and aesthetically appealing – Aperam alloys offer a range of benefits for cookware and utensil applications. For example, PHYTHERM, our nickel alloy for induction cookware, has a pre-set Tc that ensures an unprecedented level of temperature control. And our iron-nickel-chromium soft magnetic alloy is perfect for thermal conductivity.

White Goods

Able to resist corrosion and withstand high temperatures

White Goods

Alloys excel at resisting corrosion and withstanding high temperatures. That’s why they are regularly used in such heat and/or water intense appliances as heaters, washing machines, dryers, radiators, refrigerators, dish washers and ovens. For added safety, be sure to explore our thermocouple alloys for thermopile applications!

Heating Floor

Feel the heat in your feet

Heating Floor

Copper-nickel alloys have the unique ability of quickly increasing and decreasing their temperature – a result of their very low temperature coefficient. This makes alloys a key material in the heating cables used inside the heated floors that keep our homes and buildings warm.

Wellbeing

Warming up your well-being

Wellbeing

A hot shower on a cold day, relaxing in a steam sauna or snuggling up under a heated blanket – these are some of life’s simple pleasures. And behind each are alloys. Copper-nickel alloys, such as Aperam Resistohm 135, offer the temperature range and coefficient needed to heat up – and cool down – a range of wellness applications. Alloys also benefit from having excellent corrosion resistance, malleability and solderability.

Clock & Watches

A timeless material

Clock & Watches

Watchmaking is an industry entrenched in exactness. With excellent stampability and elasticity, only alloys offers the level of precision needed to keep the clocks running on time.

Display & OLED

From touchscreens to virtual reality

Display & OLED

Due to their controlled expansion and high-level of cleanliness, alloys are an essential element to today’s OLED and display technology. Developed specifically for such displays, INVAR® by Aperam is regularly used in the manufacturing of mobile phones, tablets and virtual reality glasses.

Printing

For more efficient and higher quality printing

Printing

The Imphy N42E is fully dedicated to chemical etching applications thanks to our expertise and quality controls that guarantee a low level of residuals content and sulfur particles to master inclusions’ nature and density. This alloy helps enhance the efficiency and quality of fast printing services.

PHYTHERM, Nickel alloys for induction cookware

For kitchen ustensil manufacturers, it’s all about the Curie Point (Tc). That’s why they choose PHYTHERM, Aperam’s nickel alloy for induction cookware. PHYTHERM’s differentiator is that its Tc is pre-set at the ideal level. In practice, this means that when it’s applied to the bottom of a frying pan, the magnetic base stops getting hotter once the Curie Point is reached. This gives cooks an unprecedented level of temperature control.

INVAR® SFD, your material of choice for OLED and display technology

From our mobile phones to digital cameras, Virtual Reality headsets, televisions and tablets – high-definition displays are a part of our everyday lives. Behind each of these screens are alloys. INVAR® SFD by Aperam is a highly-clean alloy developed specifically for OLED technology. INVAR® SFD provides the controlled expansion required by the tools used for the fabrication of OLED displays. This alloy has also expansion and mechanical properties required to ensure a reliable encapsulation of the OLED displays.

RESISTOHM at the service of beauty and well being

From electric sauna stoves and steam generators for hammam to heating blanket & pad, warmers or wax heater for depilation, resistive alloys offered by Rescal can discreetly but efficiently accompany your relaxing moments as soon as heat is fully part of your wellbeing research. Check our wide range of Iron-Chromium-Aluminum, Copper-Nickel and Nickel-Chromium high quality grades.
