Chemical Industry
Aperam has an extensive range of grades to meet the chemical industry’s demand for high corrosion resistant alloys with high-temperature resistant properties.

Desalination
- Alloys with good corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures are used to extract salt from seawater – an essential process for producing suitable water for drinking and irrigation.
Furnaces
- Alloys' excellent creep behaviour at intermediate temperatures and corrosion resistance at very high temperatures make them an ideal material for furnaces.
Overlays
- The high corrosion resistant IMPHY 625 is the flagship grade for the weld overlay process.
- The technology improves the corrosion properties of the base materials used by the oil and petrochemical industries.
Process Equipment
- Thanks to their anti-corrosion properties in hostile environments, alloys are used by the chemical, petrochemical, food and pulp and paper industries – to name only a few.
Waste Burners and Environment
- Incineration processes, high-temperature waste treatment systems and environmental release all involve the combustion of organic substances and all require the use of alloys with good corrosion and oxidation resistance, good mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures and corrosive media.
