Forms & Dimensions
Alloys are designed and elaborated at the Imphy melt shop, which is highly regarded for its expertise in metallurgy and in-depth knowledge about applications. Starting from ingots, the product goes through hot and cold transformation before being perfectly mastered into the final product via the melt shop’s melting and re-melting furnaces. Alloys are available in all formats: billets, ingots, different types of bars, plates and slabs, as well as wire rod and cold rolled strips.
Bars
Imphy
Round Ø 20 mm to Ø 400 mm, ground, peeled or turned.
Square 15 mm x 80 mm to 400 mm x 400 mm, ground or fine ground.
Flat, thickness from 5 mm to 85 mm - Width 15 mm to 200 mm, sand blasted.
Billets: Diameters 130, 145, 160, 180, 200 and 220. From 4 meters to 7.5 meters maximum.
Cold Drawn Bars
Imphy
Cold drawn bars are typically available in diameters ranging from 4 mm (0,15") to 20 mm (0.78"). Specific sizes and tolerances available on request.
Cold Rolled Strips
Imphy
Cold rolled strips are typically available in thicknesses ranging from 0.05 mm (0,002") to 3 mm (0.0118") and in widths ranging from 3 mm (0,118"") up to 680 mm (27,17"). Width and thickness are interdependent. Specific sizes and tolerances available on request.
ICS clad material includes two layers, three layers, five layers and even more combinations of different metals in the thickness ranging from 0.11 mm to 4.0 mm and width ranging from 5 mm to 400 mm ; with layer ratios of 3% and above.

Drawn, Straightened and Flat Wires
Rescal
Drawn wire is typically available in diameters ranging from 0.10 mm (0,003937") to 15 mm (0,59"). Specific sizes and tolerances are available on request.
Straightened wire: diameter from 1,50 mm to 16.00 mm. Length of bars up to 4.00 mm.
Flat wire (ribbon) is typically available in widths ranging from 0.20 to 8.00 mm, and in thicknesses ranging from 0.05 to 1.00 mm.
Plates
Imphy
Plates are typically available in thicknesses ranging from 3 mm (0,118") to 130 mm (5.118") and in widths less than 3000 mm (118.11"), with the most common widths ranging between 1000 and 2800 mm (39.370”and 110.236”) and at a length greater than 12000 mm (472,440”). Specific sizes and tolerances are available on request.
Wire Rod

Wire Rod is typically available in diameters ranging from 5.5 mm (0,22") to 21 mm (0,16").
