Aperam to implement Google's cloud-based solutions

Luxembourg, 18 July 2011 - Aperam, a global player in stainless, electrical and specialty steel, announces today that it has signed an agreement with Google to deploy collaborative cloud-based solutions across its organisation.

Aperam will gradually switch its office software to Google's cloud-based solutions ("Google Apps") and deploy Google Mail as its core messaging tool among its 9,700 employees. Google Apps collaborative solutions include personal and shared calendars, integrated chat and video communications as well as a native email translation service.

"A part of our Leadership Journey, this move will allow us to make significant savings in our IT budgets but is also expected to be transforming for our organisation", Julien Onillon, CFO Aperam, commented. Aperam's Leadership Journey aims to achieve USD 250 million of management gains and profit enhancement over 2011 and 2012.
